An Investigation of Cell Cycle, Related Genes and Basic Molecular Biological Method







Abstract
Recently, many molecular biologicai researches of oriental medicine field to understand the mechanism of acupuncture and traditional medicine has done. And it needs understanding of molecular biology. So I studied celi cycie, related factor and basic molecular biological laboratory method by literatural investigation.
The obtained results are as followes;
1. The cell cycle has four phases : G1, S, G2 and M phase.
2. The cell cycle time depend on G1 phase which has many variadons.
3. The cell cycle was controled by several growth factors.
4. There are two check points for monitoring of cell cycle ;
G1 check point is checked by screening of c-myc, c-fos, PCNA, Cyclin C, D, E, Histone H1, CDK 2, 4, p53, p21
G2 check point is checked by screening of Cdc-2, Cyclin A, B
5. There are some basic molecular biological laboratory methods. PCR and RT-PCR are used for check gene expression and quantitative analysis.
Western blotting is used for check gene protein expression and alterration. Sourthern blotting is used for check DNA segments. Northern blotting is used for check RNA transcription.
